It’s always nice to be recognized for your hard work. Usually, we have a heads-up. This time around, it was a [welcome] surprise to be recognized for all of our efforts by Citywire RIA. In their 2021 report, 50 Growers Across America, they recognized Kaydan Wealth Management as one of the fastest-growing independent Registered Investment Advisors in the country and the number one growth firm in Michigan.
So what exactly does this ranking mean? And who is considered for the report?
Citywire RIA examined only independent, planning-oriented RIAs that have experienced significant growth over the past five years. Two major factors considered were the percentage of growth in assets under management and the percentage of growth in employees since the end of 2016. Learn more about Citywire RIAs methodology here.
One way in which these rankings differ from others that Kaydan Wealth has been recognized for in the past, like Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisors and Barron’s Top 1200 Financial Advisors, is the process of picking winners and runners-up didn’t involve any of the firms selected. Normally, Kaydan Wealth is nominated for one of these industry lists and as a result, is required to complete an extensive questionnaire and participate in an oral interview before a final ranking is awarded and the list is published. The RIAs named in the 50 Growers Across America 2021 were not nominated nor did they compensate Citywire RIA in any way to be considered.
